Catalonia

Stretching from the foothills of the Pyrenees to the northastern coast of Spain, Catalonia offers a very different style to the south yet is still quintesstentially Spanish in its' culture. A rural wedding is a possiblity however most visitors to the region choose its vibrant capital, Barcelona with its' nightime eating, drinking and entertainment culture making it the "European New York". Due to its perfect location close to the Mediterranean coast line it has the perfect climate all year round and makes an ideal setting for your European wedding.

A visual feast, Barcelona not only has fantastic tapas and restaurants open around the clock but also elegant boulevards, a medieval old town and stunning modernist architecture. As the home and heart of Antoni Gaudi, the city houses some of his most celebrated works such as the Sagrada Familia and the Casa Batlló, both of which make potential fantastic wedding venues.

A different option would be to take advantage of the beautiful scenery and coast line offered by the mainland as a setting, from romantic coastal villas to traditional rural Spanish country houses (Masias), there is something to suit all.
